Marisi, Breaker of the Coil - Cats

🔥 Deck Overview

Commander: Marisi, Breaker of the Coil

Lead your pride into battle with Marisi at the helm! This Naya Cat tribal deck combines an ever-growing army of Leonin and other feline warriors with Marisi's ability to goad your opponents' creatures, turning the battlefield into a chaotic free-for-all.

🐾 Core Strategy

Build a powerful board of Cats and Leonin while using Marisi to force your opponents' creatures into combat against each other. Cards like Regal Caracal, Leonin Warleader, Raksha Golden Cub, King of the Pride, and Kemba, Kha Regent help establish a formidable feline army.

Once your opponents are forced to attack, use combat-manipulation effects and carefully timed tricks to turn their aggression to your advantage. The goal is to overwhelm the table while your opponents' creatures weaken one another.

⚔️ Key Creatures & Spells

• Regal Caracal, Leonin Warleader, Raksha Golden Cub, and King of the Pride strengthen your Cat army and create additional battlefield pressure.

• Kemba, Kha Regent and Ajani's Chosen reward you for building a board around creatures and equipment.

• Keeper of Fables provides valuable card draw as your Cats connect in combat.

• Nazahn, Revered Bladesmith and Taj-Nar Swordsmith support the deck's equipment package.

• Marisi's Twinclaws, Sunspear Shikari, and Leonin Relic-Warder add additional utility and combat power.

• White Sun's Zenith can create a large army of Cat tokens when you need to rebuild or finish the game.

• Naya Charm provides flexible removal, recursion, and combat control.

• Master Warcraft can completely reshape a crucial combat step.

• Hunter's Prowess, Momentous Fall, Camaraderie, and Nissa's Revelation turn your creatures into a major source of card advantage.

🌪️ Combat & Chaos

Marisi is the centerpiece of the deck's political and combat strategy. His goad ability encourages your opponents to attack, making it difficult for them to simply sit behind a defensive board.

Rite of the Raging Storm and Curse of the Nightly Hunt push the table toward constant combat, while Bloodthirsty Blade gives you another way to manipulate opposing creatures.

Assault Suit and Whispersilk Cloak support your attackers while making it easier to keep the pressure on.

🌱 Ramp & Mana Support

The deck uses a mixture of land ramp and mana rocks to reach its larger threats and powerful combat spells:

• Cultivate

• Farseek

• Explore

• Grow from the Ashes

• Krosan Verge

• Oreskos Explorer

• Boros Signet

• Selesnya Signet

• Gruul Locket

• Boros Locket

The Naya mana base combines basic lands with bounce lands, fetch-style lands, utility lands, and fixing lands such as Command Tower, Jungle Shrine, Rogue's Passage, and Terramorphic Expanse.

💎 Key Synergies

• Marisi + forced combat: Goad opposing creatures and make your opponents fight among themselves.
