Product Details

Omnath is a primal elemental. Ever growing and changing, just as Zendikar is. It represents the truth behind the world, untouched by corruption (subtle foreshadowing). Omnath, other elementals, and many more friends of the Earth come together in order to create one of the greatest shows in magic: producing 30+ lands on one battlefield.

What Makes Omnath Special

For four mana, Omnath does a lot. He draws a card immediately, which is nice, but he should never be played on four mana. Instead, play your land drop afterwards and be rewarded with life, then mana, then damage. Getting the mana is fairly easy, as we have a number of lands that will fetch other lands out of our deck, counting for two landfall triggers. To get the third, we want to have another creature or two that allows us to play additional lands, but the second ability is the key one to hit. Play lands to get mana to get more lands to get more... you get the idea.

Gameplan

As with most landfall strategies, we want to be ramping hard throughout the game. Be greedy! Just produce as much mana as you possibly can every turn. It is virtually impossible for a deck to keep up with our resource generation, so sooner or later we will have an insurrmountable amount.

When it comes to killing your opponents, (not entirely sure why you would want to do that when instead you could play more lands) we have extremely potent finishers with cards like Avenger of Zendikar or Omnath, Locus of Rage. We can make huge boards and simply pound opponents who cannot hope to match us.

When the deck is rolling, it is truly something special. The constant flow of cards, lands, and creatures is something that you really cannot get out of any other archetype.
