Deck Primer / Description General
Sneak around your opponents defenses and outwit your opponents with Yuriko and her clan of ninjas. One of the most powerful commanders of all time, we will have an endless onslaught of unblockable attackers, a steady stream of cards into our hand, and an even more brutal barrage of direct damage coming forth to our opponents faces.
What makes Yuriko Special
The most notable piece of text on Yuriko is commander ninjutzu. We will never have to pay more than two mana for our commander the entire game. This is a super valuable effect.
We also get bonuses when Yuriko, or whenever one of our many other ninjas connect. A drawn card is great, but it also nukes the table. Often this will be a puny one or two mana card, but sometimes we can get ten+ damage flips.
Gameplan
We begin with ninjas. Then, we switch our ninjas out, to Yuriko or other ninjutzu effects. We start drawing and blasting the table. If they try to remove our creatures, we use all the gas we've drawn to restart the fury.
A very common text on cards in this deck is "scry". Before combat, it is very good to get a few scrys in, just to see what we can find. If we have a ninja connecting and can scry a Dead Drop or Rags // Riches to the top, we can do massive damage. Chain a few of these together and boom! Whole table explodes.
Notably, split cards like the aformentioned Rags // Riches count BOTH! mana costs as their cmc, so they are particularly good in this deck as flip targets and already having their inherient flexibility.
