The Gods are angry. Their wrath decimates all mortals and it is on you to build enough shrines to win their favor and ultimately the game. This deck contains the full set of shrines and all of the cards you need to support them. Shrines are enchantments that will provide you with a valuable trigger once per turn for each shrine you control. That means that one shrine will give you one trigger, two shrines will give you four triggers, three shrines will give you nine triggers, four shrines will give you sixteen triggers, and any more than that you should have already won the game. Go-Shintai is the perfect shrine commander because not only does he double these triggers by providing you with shrine tokens every time a new shrine enters the battlefield, but he can also resurrect your demolished shrines from out of your graveyard. This deck also includes an enchantment sub theme to help take advantage of the fact that all of your shrines count as enchantments. There are cards here that provide insane value every time you cast an enchantment. To maximize this value, this deck relies on enchantments to provide you with all of the things you need an EDH deck to do including ramp, draw, and removal. If your opponents are smart, they’ll be scared watching you build all of your shrines. They’ll likely try to summon an army of monsters of their own as soon as they can and try to attack you first. To protect yourself in these circumstances this deck includes several different board wipes. Board wipes are cards that destroy all creatures on the battlefield, including your own creatures. However, your deck relies on very few creatures, so your opponents will be absolutely decimated while you are untouched. To really take advantage of these board wipes I suggest you focus on drawing cards and ramping early in the game. As you do, try and lure your opponents into playing their best creatures and emptying their hands onto the battlefield. Then, you can cast your first board wipe and your opponents will be left with nothing on the battlefield and barely any cards in their hand, while you have a full hand of shrines and all of the mana you need to cast them. This is an incredibly fun, unique and powerful deck. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
