The Scarab God - Zombies

You have always been a scholar of the occult, particularly the necromantic arts. As your power grew, so did your undead armies. Then, one fateful night, you felt the eerie gaze of a cryptic and ancient entity upon you. Determined to confront this presence, you discovered the shocking truth: the entity was none other than The Scarab God, an ancient deity wielding absolute power over life and death. Impressed by your mastery of necromancy, The Scarab God decided to collaborate with you, elevating your power to unparalleled levels on that very night. The mere sight of our undead allies sickens me. What unholy bargain have you struck? Your goal is to expand your ever-growing army of the dead in order to overwhelm your opponents with both sheer numbers and raw power. Sheer numbers will be provided by the likes of Diregraf Colossus, which recruits a new zombie for each one cast and becomes immense if summoned onto a board already full of zombies. Similarly, Overseer of the Damned and Cemetery Reaper turn your slain enemies into new fodder, ready to do your bidding! Additionally, spells like the dreadful Endless Ranks of the Dead bolster your ranks over time. To protect your army, you have Gleaming Overseer, which makes your tokens difficult to deal with and more evasive, allowing them to slowly approach and overwhelm your foes. Additionally, you were gifted with Liliana's Mastery, which not only provides two fresh corpses but also strengthens each of your zombies under the command of Liliana, Death's Majesty, aiding you in raising the dead during battle. Finally, once your zombies reach a critical mass, you will be able to harness the necromantic power of your minions to vanquish your opponents. Utilize Shepherd of Rot alongside the cycling ability of Gempalm Polluter to deal direct damage and overwhelm your foes. Expand your knowledge and draw plenty of cards with the assistance of Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver, Undead Augur and Distant Melody. Enter the God Eternal, enter The Scarab God! After setting the stage with your undead army, it's time for The Scarab God to take center stage. Similar to Shepherd of Rot and Gempalm Polluter, The Scarab God drains your opponents for the number of zombies on your battlefield while also granting you complete control over your library with scry, ensuring you always draw the right card at the right time. Use spells like Murder to eliminate your opponents' most dangerous creatures and bring them back under your control using The Scarab God's second ability, creating powerful zombies ready to be used against them. Remember, death is the greatest form of betrayal. If left unchecked, your commander will assert dominance on its own. Even if your enemies manage to defeat The Scarab God, he is immortal and will return to your hand at the next end step without additional commander tax, ready to rejoin the fray on your next turn. Undead Generals As mentioned before, you possess both sheer numbers and raw power, provided by the abilities of your minions. Use Boneknitter to save your zombies from a second death by regenerating them. If they are destroyed, turn to Gravespawn Sovereign and Tomb Tyrant to resurrect them. The first two can even bring back creatures from other graveyards. What's more valuable than taking control of a creature from an opponent? Taking one and then copying it, thanks to Cleaver Skaab. Here's a trick: if someone targets a zombie you control with a spell or ability, you can respond by sacrificing that zombie to Cleaver Skaab. This causes the enemy spell to fizzle, and you'll end up with two copies of that zombie. Dreadful Enchantments Oversold Cemetery will return an important zombie back to your hand, ready to be used again. One of the best targets for this is Gempalm Polluter, for continuous draining effects and card draw for only 2 mana. The sheer power of Rooftop Storm speaks for itself. Thanks to all the card draw engines present in your deck and the scrying from The Scarab God, you should be able to find what you need quite easily. Don't have a legendary creature? Worry not! If you are tempted by the Ring, you will be able to make any creature you control legendary, even a puny 2/2 zombie, so that you may search for that Oversold Cemetery that you so desperately need. Necropotence With such unholy and undying creatures at your disposal and the help of a god by your side, no one will be able to stop you from conquering any battle. At the height of your power, you should be able to cast the fearsome Army of the Damned, activate Shepherd of Rot to deal a minimum of 14 damage to everybody and cycling Gempalm Polluter will drain target opponents for even more life. Additionally, Vengeful Dead and Diregraf Captain will punish your enemies for each zombie that dies. This is all before you even swing with your freshly made army, boosted by the likes of Death Baron and Lord of the Accursed.
